Ingredients
1Tea bag fruity tea
3cupsWater
1cupApple juice or pear juice
1Orange, sliced
1Lemon
3tbspCane sugar(Can also use white sugar)
1-2Cinnamon sticks
Instructions
Add hot water to a medium-sized pot. Then add the tea bag and let it brew for a couple of minutes.
Meanwhile, slice the orange and half of the lemon. Optionally, the juice of the other half of the lemon can be added to the punch.
Stir in the sugar into the tea and let it dissolve. You can use more or less, according to your taste.
Add apple Juice (or pear juice), orange slices, lemon slices, lemon juice (optional), and cinnamon sticks.
Allow the tea to steep for an additional 10 minutes on low heat. The tea wasn't exactly simmering, but it was held warm. I just had the stove on the lowest setting. This allows all the flavors to meld together into a harmonious blend.
Serve hot (or warm) in heat-proof glasses or cups.
Notes
- I recommend removing the lemons from the tea after a while because they make the tea bitter when kept in there too long.- This recipe can serve up to 8 people if the tea is served in smaller cups.
